AIMS
EURAS Journal of Health (EJOH) is a peer-reviewed international scientific open access periodical published in accordance with independent, unbiased, and double-blind peer-review principles. It publishes two issues per year. The publication language of the journal is English. The journal is the official publication of the Eurasian Universities Union (EURAS).
EJOH aims to contribute to the literature by publishing manuscripts of highest scientific level in all fields of health including medicine with clinical and basic fields, nursing, physiotherapy, audiology, nutrition and dietetics, dentistry, public health, epidemiology, and all relevant disciplines.
SCOPE
The journal targets all healthcare professionals in all health disciplines and publishes original experimental and clinical research articles, case reports, reviews of experts in a specific field, letters to the editors and brief reports on new methods or techniques or preliminary results of original studies. The journal conforms to the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing (doaj.org/bestpractice).
CALL FOR PAPERS
EURAS Journal of Health is a multidisciplinary international health journal which covers all areas of health. We invite the academic community in the health area to submit their original, scholarly articles for publication, with the main aim to motivate the interaction between and increase the awareness of different disciplines.
PUBLICATION FEE
No publication charge or article processing charge is required. No fees are requested from the authors at any point throughout the evaluation and publication processes. All expenses of the journal are covered by the EURAS.
OPEN ACCESS POLICY
This journal contributes to scientific research by adopting the principle of free sharing with the public and by providing open access to content that supports global information sharing. The Open Access Policy (BOAI) is based on the Budapest Open Access Initiative guidelines http://www.budapestopenaccessinitiative.org/. In accordance with the definition of BOAI, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author, users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software or use them for any other lawful purpose without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself.
EDITORIAL POLICY
The publication processes of the journal are run in accordance with the guidelines of the International Council of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), the Council of Science Editors (CSE), the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the European Association of Science Editors (EASE), and National Information Standards Organization (NISO).
In compliance with the ethical standards of World Medical Association (WMA) Declaration of Helsinki – Ethical Principles for Medical Research Involving Human Subjects revised in 2013 and WMA Statement on Animal Use in Biomedical Research revised in 2016, an approval of research protocols by the Ethics Committee is required for experimental, clinical, and drug studies and for some case reports. When necessary, ethics committee reports or an equivalent official document will be requested from the authors. For manuscripts on experimental research on humans, a statement should be included which shows that written informed consent of patients and volunteers was obtained following a detailed explanation of the procedures they may undergo. Information on patient consent, the name of the ethics committee, and the ethics committee approval number should also be stated in the Materials and Methods section. For studies carried out on animals, pain and distress preventing measures should be stated clearly. It is the authors’ responsibility to carefully protect the patients’ anonymity. For photographs that may reveal the identity of the patients, signed releases of the patient or of their legal representative should be enclosed.
Submission is a representative process that ensures that the manuscript or its data has not been published previously (except as abstracts and press reports published in connection with scientific meetings) electronically or in printed medium and is not under consideration for publication. Manuscripts that have been presented in a meeting should be submitted with information including the name, date, and location of the meeting. Opinions stated in the manuscripts published in EJOH reflect the views of the author(s) and not of the editors, the editorial board, or the publisher. The responsibility with regard to the published content belongs to the authors.
A written statement should be provided by both author and publisher giving permission to reproduce to EJOH for material copied from other sources. All submissions are screened with similarity detection software (iThenticate) for determination of plagiarism and non-ethical situations.In case of alleged or suspected research misconduct, e.g., plagiarism, citation manipulation, or data falsification/fabrication, the Editorial Board will follow up and act in accordance with COPE guidelines.
